Art allows me to constantly question my relationship with Mankind and Nature and to ensure that this relationship is one of understanding and admiration, not submission

« Land of forests » and green hills
Born in Transylvania, in the heart of Romanian high hills, I grew up steeped in forest landscapes and unspoiled nature that I enjoyed on a regular basis as a child.
Picking plants in the freshness of spring and watching the reflections of the sun slip through the leaves of the trees, tasting the pollen of acacias in bloom while walking in the forest accompanied by the song of the birds, running down a hill in laughter and spend the rest of the day with clay dust stuck to my skin,
These are my refuge memories and my inexhaustible source of inspiration.
In my approach as in my perception of the world, the notions of « human » and « nature » are inseparable. The particles being interlinked, the separation of the two is impossible.
The forms I create then become conventions of language and imagination.

Ceramic studio on the preserved Loire Valley
Living in France over than fifteen years now, my workshop is located in the heart of the Nantes marshlands.
Far from my Transylvania, I no longer feel uprooted as I felt when I arrived on the Atlantic Coast. In a captivating way, I blend into this resilient nature that floods in winter and dries up completely in summer.
The clay I work with is issued from French clay quarries such as the Limoges porcelain or the Puisaye stoneware.
I passionately compose my own ceramic glazes.
These contemporary ceramics are fired in an oxidizing or a reducing atmosphere, which explains among other processes, the diversity and the uniqueness of each piece.
